Rain Out!!

Well last night we had planned to go the Willie Nelson at the Stir Concert Cove. Instead, we watched the rain from the window at Barley's. The concert was cancelled due to the weather. After the storm there was flooding, tree limbs and power lines down. I was able to snap one picture from the window and a down tree while we were on our way to dinner.

Steve, our brother in law, is offically a firefighter. He graduated from the Academy yesterday afternoon. He starts his first shift on July 1st. Way to go, Steve. We are so happy for you!

Updates!!

Birthday and Summer Concert!!

Scott and I had a busy Saturday. I had to work Saturday morning we then headed to a small birthday celebration for our friend and Scotts fellow firefighter, Chip. The party ended early and then we headed to the Summer Concert Series at Stir Concert Cove. We saw Clint Black perform and it was a great concert. Again, I took some pictures and we had good seats but yet again my camera does not have very good zoom. You can see Clint, kind of, in the Red Shirt and Jeans!!! :)On Friday we return to Stir to watch Willie Nelson perform!!

Jeter

I thought it was time to update everyone with some pictures of Jeter. We have been letting him off the leash more and more when he is in the yard. He loves every minute of it and He loves playing fetch with Scott. Check out the Pics!!!

The Annual Camping Trip!!

This year we celebrated the Barr Family Reunion over Father's Day weekend in Red Oak. We dodged the storms on Saturday but Sunday was a different story. Saturday consisted of a giant slip n slide or tarp I liked to call it. (Jeremy decided to try it so check out the picture that is posted) We also had the annual fish fry, family dvd slide show and then we sat around the campfire and ate smores and chit chatted with family. Scott and I stuck to tradition and headed back to the camper early and hung out and watched a movie. Sunday was Grandma Dolly's 85th birthday celebration but the party had to be cut short do to the rain. It was a great time camping again this year and Like always we look forward to next year!! Happy Birthday Grandma Barr:)

A Dream Come true!!

My birthday celebration continued onto Friday night. About 6 months I told Scotty I would pay anything too see Reba McIntyre in concert. Well........Last night Reba was here in Council Bluffs and we saw her perform. It was truly amazing!!I thank my sister for playing the Rumor Has It CD over and over when we were little and shared a room:) Also, if anyone of our fans of the show Reba, Barbara Jean ( or the lady who played BJ)opened up for her. She is hilarious and very very skinny now!!! The pictures do not do our seats justice. I blame the camera, it does not have very good zoom at all!! Our seats were great!

Well I celebrated my 27th birthday on Thursday. Scott surprised me with the day/night off work and then the surprise got even better when he had a little get together planned for me at La Mesa with our close group of friends. It was a great birthday and Thank you everyone for celebrating with me!

LaVista Days!!

Our Saturday started out by attending the City of Crescent Garage Sale. I picked up some toys to keep at the house for when Sam and others come over. I decided that I need to start making the house more kid friendly:) The Offutt Fire Department participated in the LaVista Days Parade this weekend. Scott and I went to the parade to cheer the guys on but since it was so HOT we decided to ride along in the parade instead and enjoy the air conditioner. Too my surprise the fire truck was quite roomy! It was a great time. Jeff was a trooper and wore the Sparky costume. It was rather hot for him but the kids loved it. We headed to Surfside on Saturday night. Our plans to go the Taste of Omaha got rained out so we went to dinner with Jordan and Steve and Andy and Becky O'Leary. After dinner we played the Wii. I really need to get one of those for our house!!

Also, my birthday week has officially started today!! I will be 27 in 4 days!!
