Memorial Day Weekend Fun!

I headed to Washington DC on Thursday with Jordan for a wedding. Jordan's best friend from college got married. Jordan and I had so much fun. DC is an awesome city and we are already planning a trip back but this time plan on taking Steve and Scott. William enjoyed his time with Scott while I was away. The hungout in Red Oak and went to the zoo. As soon as I got back yesterday I knew I wanted to take him to the pool. Will is such a daredevil and not afraid of the water. He was little scared at first but warmed up to the idea of going into the water. He starts swim lessons saturday. More pics to come after this weekend:)

Ten Months Old

William is 10 months old today!

• He is offically crawling (well it is kind of a crawl it gets him to where he needs to be)



• He is starting to understand "no" more. I find myself saying it more and more eachday:)



• He weighs 17 pounds 5 oz



• He still loves food. Today he tried watermelon and and was in heaven



• He is such a happy baby and makes us smile everyday



• He is talking more...Still does not say "mama" but always has "dada" on his mind

I cannot believe that Will is almost a year old! Where did this year go!

Go Team Mike!

We had another busy weekend. We first started out at my friend Martha's Bridal Shower. We will be attending her wedding in July in Malibu and we cannot wait. Will and Martha got to meet for the first time and he could not of been more excited. Also this weekend was the Council Bluffs Half Marathon/5k Run. A group of us got together to pay tribute to Mike Chaput, Martha and Lauren's dad. It was a pleasure to honor him! We all finished the race whether we ran or walked. It was a hot humid day but so worth it!

Also, I have to give props to Lauren who is 9 months pregnant and due anyday now for walking! Your dad would be proud! :)

Heart Walk 2010

Today Will and I along with a bunch of supporters participated in the The Children's Mile Heart Walk. It was great to have all the love and support this morning. Will is such a stong little boy and without the love and support of our friends and family who knows where Scott and I would be today. We had a wonderful time and I are already excited for next year!

It has been an Adjustment!

Will has a huge bruise on his face thanks to daycare. He did it to himself with a toy and I think it gives him character:) He is having a hard time adjusting to daycare and I hope he snaps out of it soon. He is suffering from Separation Anxiety and once he is picked up from St. Albert he will not let us leave his side. I am told he will snap out of it. I think he is paying me back for sending him and going back to work:) I do love SA and have noticed such a difference in the way he goes down for a nap or bed and even the way he interacts. My heart melted yesterday when I went to pick him up and he was playing with his friend Maura! It was so cute!

Happy 1st Mother's day to me:)

I had a wonderful Mother's day and could not ask for more. Scott worked on actual Mother's day so we celebrated throughout the week. Last Sunday, Scott got me tickets to Legally Blonde: The Musical. It was sooo great and sooo funny. I loved it! Yesterday, we headed to Red Oak and had lunch with Scott's family and then Scott was nice enough to cook me dinner. My favorite steak and crab legs. It was so good and most importantly Scott just let me relax. He let me sit on the couch and veg out. I enjoyed that more than anything:) Today, I enjoyed lunch with two of my favorite people my mom and sister. It was a GREAT DAY! The most treasured gift I got was a picture from Will that he made me at daycare. I might be biased but I think we have the next Picasso on our hands:)

Will and Great Grandpa Oder

My grandpa Oder came up from Missouri this week. I only got see him for a minute but Will got to spend most of Wednesday evening with him. I am so happy that they got to spend time together. We are hoping we can make a trip down to Springfield to visit him this summer.

William has become quite fond of pancakes. He loves them so much! One more thing to add to the list of the many things he will eat. He loves to eat just like his mom and dad:)

May is here and Will is getting so close to his first birthday. Time is flying. Will loves taking baths, hanging out with his Aunt Jordan and Uncle Steve and playing with his car. He is getting so big and I think he might Walk before he crawls. Also, the little dude STILL has no teeth. :)
