You will be Missed!

Today the world lost someone close to all of our hearts. My dear Friend Eddie Garry passed away. Eddie and I went to highschool together and then spent a year together at Nebraska- Kearney before I left after my first year. Eddie and I talked once a week until she graduated from UNK and then we had monthly talks. Although our time got away from eachother I thought of Eddie often and when we did talk it was like we were never apart. Please pray for Eddie's family and especially her daughter Nicolette. Eddie brought a smile to everyone she met. Eddie, you will be missed. God Bless you!

18 months
Will is 18 months old. At his last appointment he weighed 20 pounds 8oz. He is still really small but will eat anything under the sun. He just has trouble gaining weight. We will never know if this is related to his heart defect or if he is just small. The doctors are not worried so we try not to be either. He has his last round of his Synagsis shot in two weeks. We are hoping he is done with these for good and will not have to get them next year since he will be older and will no longer be considered high risk for RSV. His O2 stats are still running in the mid 90's. Too most people this would be a concern but for William this is great. I have no BIG heart updates because we do not have another echo appointment with Dr. Delaney until April. It is nice not heading over to Children's once a week. It is a good thing when you go there and they do NOT recognize you:) Will is just a great kid. I call him a kid because he no longer a baby. He is becoming his own person. We just cannot imagine our life without him. He is just an amazing kid. He brings so much joy to our life.
Here are some updates on William:
He loves chicken fries, fish sticks, mac and cheese and chocolate donuts and Captain Crunch Berries.
He loves chocolate milk, carnation instant breakfast and his new favorite vegetable juice.
He sleeps twelve hours at night. This is truly a blessing :)
He is very talkative and talks very clearly these days. He says Jeter, Kitty, Dada, Mom, Dana, Nana, Papa, Hello, Steve, Ok and No. ( and many other things I cannot understand)
He loves to vacuum and clean.
He no longer sits in a high chair. He eats at the table like a big boy with the help of a booster seat
He brushes his own teeth every night before bed.
He is finally getting more teeth. I think we are up to 10 now :)
He loves St. Albert daycare. He loves running around and playing in the gym. We could not be happier with how they treat him.
Week 3
I promise I will not provide weekly updates but I just wanted to update everyone on how things are going. I survived week 3 at work. I am starting to get back in the routine and feeling more productive at work day by day. Will is adjusting well. Almost too well, I don't think he misses me as much as I miss him :) He is battling his second ear infection but you would not know it. He is just a happy, good kid. He has his moments but we really could not ask for more. Here are some pictures updates.

Sweet Scarlet
Today we visited the newest member of the Martin Family. Colette, Andy and Adeline welcomed Scarlet on Jan 6th. She is a beauty. I do not remember Will being this little.
Will and Adeline had some fun hanging out together. They enjoyed a snack and then Adeline took him for a ride in her stroller. It was quite comical and we could not snap pictures fast enough. What a great Sunday morning we had:)

We Survived
I survived my first week back to work. It was tough but it felt good to be back to the grind again. Will is adjusting to the time in his new "big kid" room. St. Albert has been great with making him feel comfortable and even making me feel comfortable. It has been hard being away from Will on a daily basis but I am not the only mother who has had to this so I should not complain. I just was really spoiled for 17 months! :) Let's see how week 2 goes. I am taking day by day:) it
A boy and his Blocks
William loves playing with Blocks. Most of his time is spent at the fireplace playing ( or messing) with the blocks. He is in block heaven!

New Year's Eve 2010
Scott had to work on NYE so William and I spent the day together. I was able to get away for dinner at Pizza King for a few hours while Will spent some time with my parents. I enjoyed the time out but was so happy to be home where it was warm and safe. :)
Happy New Year Everyone! Here is too an even better 2010
Merry New Year
Today we celebrated the Oder Family Christmas. It is amazing to think we were a week ago after Dad's surgery. We were all finally together some place other than the hospital:) It was so nice having all of us together.
2010 had its up and downs. More ups than downs. Too think of how far Will has come along is a complete miracle and so amazing! Will is doing wonderful and we could not ask for more. We are so thankful for his wonderful doctors and for all the support. Our families have been great! We are looking forward to what 2011 is going to bring. Happy New Year Everyone!
