Will is 18 months old. At his last appointment he weighed 20 pounds 8oz. He is still really small but will eat anything under the sun. He just has trouble gaining weight. We will never know if this is related to his heart defect or if he is just small. The doctors are not worried so we try not to be either. He has his last round of his Synagsis shot in two weeks. We are hoping he is done with these for good and will not have to get them next year since he will be older and will no longer be considered high risk for RSV. His O2 stats are still running in the mid 90's. Too most people this would be a concern but for William this is great. I have no BIG heart updates because we do not have another echo appointment with Dr. Delaney until April. It is nice not heading over to Children's once a week. It is a good thing when you go there and they do NOT recognize you:) Will is just a great kid. I call him a kid because he no longer a baby. He is becoming his own person. We just cannot imagine our life without him. He is just an amazing kid. He brings so much joy to our life.
Here are some updates on William:
He loves chicken fries, fish sticks, mac and cheese and chocolate donuts and Captain Crunch Berries.
He loves chocolate milk, carnation instant breakfast and his new favorite vegetable juice.
He sleeps twelve hours at night. This is truly a blessing :)
He is very talkative and talks very clearly these days. He says Jeter, Kitty, Dada, Mom, Dana, Nana, Papa, Hello, Steve, Ok and No. ( and many other things I cannot understand)
He loves to vacuum and clean.
He no longer sits in a high chair. He eats at the table like a big boy with the help of a booster seat
He brushes his own teeth every night before bed.
He is finally getting more teeth. I think we are up to 10 now :)
He loves St. Albert daycare. He loves running around and playing in the gym. We could not be happier with how they treat him.
