Jeter Update!!

This afternoon Jeter had another seizure. He has been experiencing about one a month. At first, the vet diagnosed him with low glucose. Scott and I were a little confused by this but we put him on a diet(since he was overweight) and fed him honey one meal a day. Well Jeter has since lost 6 pounds and his glucose levels are normal but he is still experiencing seizures. So we switched vets. Well today he had a seizure and it looked like he has suffered some paralysis and was blind. I immediately called our vet and brought him in right away. After describing the symptoms to her Jeter has been diagnosed with Epilepsy. Scott and I are a little nervous with this diagnosis but he is on medicine and we basically have to play it by ear. So keep Jeter in your thoughts. The seizures are scary and something I hate dealing with.

Scotty's new Helmet!

Scott had to bring his firefighting gear home the other day since he moved to a different station for the night. It was sitting in the kitchen and I felt so proud of him. He just received his new red helmet. The Red Helmet is an accomplishment. The red helmet means crew chief. Next step is the white helmet. I am just so proud of Scott's wonderful accomplishment. Yes it does stink that he is gone alot but when I see things like this it let me know that works so hard and loves every minute of being a firefighter. Again, Sorry I posted this. This is something exciting that happened in out little world:)

Go Lancers!!

Scott and I went to the Lancers game on Sunday. We had so much fun. It was something fun and different to do. We will definitely make more appearances at the MAC to watch the Lancers. Now I just need to buy a Lancers hockey jersey!:) Also, the Lancers won in the last second of the game. It was so exciting.

Michelle's Birthday!!

Scott and I had a fun weekend. Since he worked Saturday we headed to Whiskey Tango downtown with some of his fellow firefighters and there wives. Saturday was Michelle's birthday. Scott missed out on all the fun since he was on shift but he was there in spirit. We started the night out at Stokkes, then headed to O'Connors(per Anne's request)and the Birthday girl wanted to go to Whiskey Tango. The wireless microphone guy loved Coco. It was a great night!!!!
